Reviewers should probably just look through the commits one by one. Please pay careful attention that to sign errors and off by one errors in the docstrings.
I think 3c244681 fixes a bug.
I added some LaTeX to the docstrings, which looks quite ugly if you read the docs in a REPL. Not sure if there are any good solutions to this though, monospaced fonts and maths just don't mix. Hopefully the surrounding text is descriptive enough.
LaTeX is gone.
